With the new screenshot and edit tool, you can capture your screen, mark them up, store them in your account, and share them with anyone, anywhere. Not to mention there are many different screenshot options to choose from:

  • Selected area: This Lets you drag a selector across a specific section of your screen for a screenshot. 
  • Window: This takes a screenshot of a selected application window.
  • Full Screen: This captures everything on a selected screen.
  • Entire Page: This option is a bit different – the extension will automatically scroll the length of the webpage you’re on, stitching together one continuous screenshot of the entire page.

How to edit a screenshot

But wait, there’s more! Wondering how to edit a screenshot and add shapes, notes, symbols, etc.? With Covideo’s screenshot feature, you can annotate screenshots by adding arrows, boxes, text, emojis, or even blur out content you don’t want included. 

The screen capture annotation software now allows you to mark up new and pre-existing screenshots with shapes, text, emojis/images, and blur out any sensitive content. Here are the options for how to edit a screenshot on Mac or PC: 

Step-by-stepy: How to edit and markup a new screenshot: 

Step 1: Let’s walk through how to edit a screenshot. First, navigate to your Covideo Chrome Extension in your Chrome browser. At the top, you’ll see two options “Record” and “Screenshot”. Switch to screenshot, then toggle the bar to enable capture and markup.


Step 2: Take your screenshot. Once done, the markup screen will automatically open for your new screenshot.

Step 3: Edit screenshots by clicking the buttons at the top center of the page. 

Step 4: When done with the markups, click “save” in the upper right corner. You’ll be brought to a page where you can download or copy the link to the screenshot to send.

Step 1: Open the Covideo Chrome extension.

Step 2: Select the screenshot tab.

Step 3: Select the preview of the screenshot you want to edit at the bottom of the extension.

Step 4: A new tab will open, click “markup” in the upper right corner. 

Step 5: The markup screen will automatically open for your new screenshot, edit screenshot. 

Step 6: When done with the markups, click “save” in the upper right corner. You`ll be brought to a page where you can download or copy the link to the screenshot to send. 

Marking up a pre-existing screenshot from your online Covideo account 

Step 1: Login to your online Covideo account.

Step 2: Select “files” on the left hand side. 

Step 3: Click on the preview of the screenshot you want to edit. 

Step 4: A new tab will open, click “markup” in the upper right corner. 

Step 5: The markup screen will automatically open for your new screenshot, edit screenshot. 

Step 6: When done with the markups, click “save” in the upper right corner. You`ll be brought to a page where you can download or copy the link to the screenshot to send.
